Paul Joosse is a sociologist at Hong Kong University and Secretary Treasurer of the ISA Sociological Theory research cluster. Recognized with the ASA Junior Theorist Award, he specializes in sociological theory, charisma, populism, and cultural sociology. Joosse has chaired the Clifford Geertz Prize committee and published influential research on gender and charismatic power.
